DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Hilo: Drive south on highway 11 to Keaau (6 miles) At 1st traffic light, turn left onto highway 130 to Pahoa (12 miles) At 1st traffic light, turn left onto highway 132 to Lava Tree Park (2 miles.) Road forks after Lava Tree Park. Stay right at fork, this is Pohoiki Road. This road is very windy and one-lane in many areas. Continue all the way to 4-way stop intersection (7 miles). Drive straight through intersection and you will arrive at Isaac Hawe Beach Park, also known as Pohoiki. Parking lot is on left near public restrooms, Lava Boat will be waiting on a trailer to the right.
From Hawaii Volcanoes National Park or Volcano Village: Take Route 11 towards Hilo to highway 130. (20 miles) turn right on highway 130 towards Pahoa (12 miles).
